Between 1959 and 1962 Luigi Caccia Dominioni designed three historic models with the same design matrix and the same characteristic handle, but with different functions, determined by the position of the pillar: a knob, with a central pillar, and two handles , one with a straight pillar, placed in an offset position, the other with an angled pillar inclined out of axis to facilitate the lever.
These models were produced by Azucena, the historic Italian brand founded in 1947 by Ignazio Gardella, Corrado Corradi dell’Acqua and by Caccia Dominioni himself: the company put into production and marketed a precious collection of furnishing and design objects, designed by themselves , a refined and cultured expression of modern living but strongly rooted in tradition.
