09 May DENVER FOR THE IDEA DOOR BY TRE-PIÙ
Denver, the style selected to complement the IDEA door by Daniel Libeskind for Tre-Più — In 2009 Daniel Libeskind designed the Denver door handle for Olivari.
A tribute to the American city of Denver where Architect Libeskind created an extension to the city’s Art Museum.
Symbolically, the handle-cum-art-object is a fusion of the urban environment (typical of the US city) and the qualities of some mineral structures, like rock crystals that, due to entirely natural processes, take on strange and unpredictable shapes, and in the most varied dimensions, such as actual crystals, rock formations, and glaciers.
It’s an authentic industrial design, where the relatively refined shape retains the dynamism and the original creative thrust of the architect’s ideas. Not a mindlessly gratuitous shape, but a real, useful object of uncommon beauty.
Now, the Denver door handle is included as a standard style on the new, completely innovative Idea door designed by Daniel Libeskind for TRE-Più – an expression of superlative balance and harmony between two elements of visual and aesthetic value that complement each other perfectly.
