Named for one of the ‘nerve centers’ of Milan, the city where he was born, the San Babila handle, was designed by Luigi Caccia Dominioni in 1968, the same year in which he was working on major projects in Milan and in Switzerland.
Luigi Caccia Dominioni – Out of production
The handle – still in production – is a popular addition to many settings, including the residential complexes at Milano San Felice in Segrate.
Proudly independent of the Italian architectural panorama, Caccia Dominioni designs several residential buildings in Milan, from the house in Piazza Sant’Ambrogio (1947) to one in Piazza Carbonari (1961). These manage to intertwine modern architecture with affection for tradition.
