For centuries Murano Island has been the home of the most famous glassmakers in the world. On the banks of its historic canal, the Rio dei Vetrai, Barovier & Toso has created a real temple of luxury, a unique center where visitors can admire the majesty of their creations.
Palazzo Barovier & Toso is housed in an original Venetian palace dating back to 1920, located in Fondamenta Manin 1/D, a few steps from the company’s historic headquarters, carefully restored and restored by the architects Calvi Brambilla.
The building has undergone a total redevelopment of the interiors and the architects Calvi Brambilla – who oversaw the project – took advantage of an excellence of Italian design: the Olivari handles.
The handles used for some of the palace doors, are the Atena Panier with a gold finish. The Panier decoration takes up the classic motif of the guilloche tradition that alludes to the wicker weave of the baskets, expressing elegance and classicism.
