Salone del Mobile 2014

Salone del Mobile 2014

Fiera Milano-Rho Pero

8-13 april 2014

An event that has been particularly lively and has seen in the booth prominent personalities and designers.

On April the 8th, marks an important visit, Ms. Jet Bussemakers the Dutch Minister of Culture at the Olivari booth.

A significant and emblematic meeting, to show how the Dutch design is an important component to convey the Dutch culture in the world. To welcome the Minister Antonio and Carlo Olivari, the third generation of the historical company of Borgomanero, for over 100 years synonymous of door handle.

The Dutch design has been well represented by Olivari trough UNStudio and Marcel Wanders who have introduced two handles, each with a strong personality.
Twist by UNStudio shows the philosophy of research and experimentation typical of Ben Van Berkel, while Dolce Vita is an expression of the original style and glamour of Marcel Wanders.

From well-established working relationships are born Radial, by Rodolfo Dordoni, and Conca by Patricia Urquiola, to which are added Lotus, by Javier Lopez, young Spanish designer, already very mature, and Pitagora, re-issued in brass handle designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro, made of resin in the 80’s, but still formally actual.

All designers protagonists of this edition, including Daniel Libeskind, have met in the booth to describe their Olivari project, capturing the interest of many visitors.
As a frame, a Black & White booth concept developed by Studio CalviBrambilla, which this year was very characteristic: not just an evocative project, but an ideal backdrop to showcase the new super-finishing , the SuperAntracite Satined, very much appreciated.

Thanks to all who visited us! end…see you to 2015.
